My love for letterpress started in high school when my family took a trip to Nashville. We stumbled into Hatch Show Print (one of the most iconic letterpress studios!), and I was fascinated by their work. We decided to come back later on the trip and took a tour of their studio and I was hooked. Also, throughout high school, I worked at a local print shop and loved seeing designs come to life through print. There is nothing quite like it!!

Because of this newfound passion for print, I decided to attend Clemson University where I earned a degree in Graphic Communications. During my time at Clemson, I grew an even bigger love for print and started to learn more about the art of letterpress.

I decided I wanted to mess around and create pieces with letterpress, so what does any sane person do? They buy a 100+ year old Chandler and Price Letterpress! During the summer of 2022 and throughout my senior year at Clemson I began designing items and bringing them to life through the press.

After graduation, I started Palmetto Letterpress to share my passion for letterpress cards and stationery with others. Now you can share your thoughts and feelings with loved ones through the beauty of handwritten cards!
